Timeline for Project Where Is Sparks now ? Sparks' Favorite Sites Sparks' Travel Journal Sparks' Matching Activity (Java Enabled Browser Required) |
Project Description: My second grade classes will send Sparks the porcupine, our project mascot, to participating classes across America. When Sparks visits a class, he will come with the book "The Armadillo From Amarillo", her suitcase and a scrapbook of Springtown, Texas. Sparks will visit each classroom for one week. When he arrives, the host class will email the coordinating classroom and let them know Sparks arrived safely. During Sparks’ visit the host class will record their daily adventures with Sparks in his online journal. At the end of his visit, the host class will mail Sparks to the next class, along with his suitcase, scrapbook and his armadillo book. The host class will also email the project coordinator to let them know Sparks has left the school and is on his way to the next school. Included in this final email should be a computer generated picture of one of the favorite sites in their city. This will be added to Sparks' webpage. Project Objectives: The students will:
